POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a talented and motivated Furniture Design Intern to join our team in Bangalore. This internship offers the chance to work closely with our experienced design team to conceptualize and develop a new product line. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to showcase their creativity, learn from industry professionals, and potentially secure a full-time position based on performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Collaborate with In House designers to generate innovative furniture designs that align with Studio Saddles’ brand identity and market demands.
2. Develop detailed sketches, renderings, and technical drawings using design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp) and traditional methods.

3. Conduct research on materials, manufacturing processes, and industry trends to inform design decisions.
4. Assist in the prototyping and testing of furniture designs to ensure functionality, durability, and aesthetic appeal.

5. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including production, marketing, and sales, to facilitate the successful implementation of design concepts.
6. Participate in design reviews, feedback sessions, and presentations to stakeholders.

7. Support the design team with additional tasks and projects as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

– Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, or a related field.
– Strong portfolio showcasing original furniture designs and proficiency in design software.

– Excellent sketching and visualization skills with a keen attention to detail.
– Knowledge of materials, manufacturing techniques, and ergonomics relevant to furniture design.
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. – Effective communication skills and openness to constructive feedback.
– Passion for design and a willingness to learn and grow within the industry.

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per year
