Full job description
We are looking for a proactive and goal-oriented Business Development Executive to join our dynamic freight forwarding team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying and developing new trade lanes, generating business leads, and building strong relationships with customers while achieving sales targets. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:1. Business Development:

Identify and develop new trade lanes and markets to expand the company’s services.
Generate leads and inquiries through market research, networking, and cold calling.
Schedule meetings and appointments with prospective clients for senior executives and the sales team.
2. Customer Onboarding & Relationship Management:

Assist in onboarding new customers, including ensuring all necessary documentation and account setup.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
Act as the first point of contact to address client concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.
3. Sales Target Achievement:

Work closely with the manager to meet and exceed assigned sales and revenue targets.
Track and follow up on leads to convert them into potential clients.
Prepare and present sales proposals to prospective customers.
4. Market Analysis & Reporting:

Conduct market analysis to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and potential growth areas.
Maintain a detailed sales pipeline and provide regular updates to the manager on progress.
Prepare reports on client interactions, sales performance, and trade lane developments.
5. Problem Solving:

Address and resolve customer problems promptly and effectively in coordination with internal teams.
Ensure smooth communication between customers and operations teams for seamless shipment handling.
Key Skills & Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in freight forwarding, logistics, or shipping.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
Good understanding of freight forwarding operations, trade lanes, and shipping terms.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
