Role & responsibilities
A. Supply Chain Strategy & Continuous Improvement
Leads supply chain strategy execution, working closely with the Co-Founder to optimize processes, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
Identifies inefficiencies and leads continuous improvement initiatives in warehousing, logistics, and demand planning.
Implements best practices in inventory planning, fulfilment, and distribution to support business growth.
Owns decision-making for logistics, warehousing, and inventory processes, ensuring supply chain agility and cost control.
B. Demand Planning & Sales Interlock
Work closely with Sales teams (Modern Trade & Branded Retail (MTBR), General Trade (GT), Ecommerce Platforms (ECP) & Private Label (PL)) to gather and align demand forecasts.
Develop and maintain rolling demand plans (monthly, quarterly) based on historical data, market trends, and promotions.
Identify gaps between demand forecasts and production capacity, ensuring proactive adjustments.
Facilitate weekly/monthly Sales-Supply Chain interlock meetings to review forecasts and adjust plans accordingly.
C. Inventory & Supply Planning
Define and execute inventory strategies to balance stock availability and working capital efficiency.
Ensure right inventory levels across warehouse and distribution points to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
Optimize safety stock levels for raw materials and finished goods based on demand variability.
Work with Procurement to ensure raw material availability for production continuity.
D. Production & Manufacturing Coordination
Align production schedules with demand forecasts while optimizing plant utilization.
Ensure timely closure of production plans along with the Manufacturing team based on sales and inventory needs.
Monitor production output vs. planned targets, identifying and resolving supply bottlenecks.
Coordinate with Manufacturing & Procurement to handle raw material shortages or production delays.
E. Warehouse & Distribution Management
Lead warehouse operations, storage optimization, and order fulfilment.
Implement inventory accuracy controls (FIFO), regular cycle counts, and stock audits.
Drive efficiency in warehouse workflows (receiving, picking, packing, dispatching).
Drive & guide the Warehouse & Logistics Team to improve fulfilment speed and accuracy.
F. Logistics & Transport Management
Oversee end-to-end logistics, transporter selection, and cost optimization.
Manage logistics partners (3PL, couriers, freight providers) for on-time, cost-effective deliveries.
Ensure logistics compliance (e-way bills, GST documentation, audit requirements).
Reduce transportation costs while ensuring OTIF (On-Time In-Full) deliveries.
Manage retail and distribution touchpoints, including leading modern trade chains, quick commerce platforms, General Trade distributor network and e-commerce giants.
Preferred candidate profile
Candidate should be Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or
Business Administration (MBA preferred) with 8+ years in supply chain, warehousing and logistics.
Strong stakeholder management (Sales, Manufacturing, Finance, Leadership).
Ability to analyze complex data and make strategic decisions.
