About CUPA

Compassion Unlimited Plus Action® (CUPA) is an animal welfare and rescue organisation, setup in 1991 for the rescue, relief and care of Bangalore’s stray, community animals. Today, the organisation operates seven centres across the city; some of these centres are shelters that house ill, injured, abandoned and orphaned animals found and reported by members of the general public and oversees the recovery, re-homing and rehabilitation of each and every animal that passes through our doors.

Passionate about animal welfare. Previous experience of working for animal rights/welfare is desirable.
Excellent at communication with various stakeholders.
Self-Motivated and able to work solo as well as with a team, as the situation demands.
Not dependent on instructions/orders and are able to take initiatives and lead by example
Resilient and willing to work patiently and not lose courage and faith in the face of adverse situations.
Fluent in English, and Hindi and/ Kannada
Confident with basics of MS Word and MS Excel

Improving the CUPA Website and enhancing interaction of the public with the website (UI&UX)
Represent CUPA and Communicate in a manner consistent with CUPA’s Vision and Mission.
Coordinate with CUPA shelters and collect stories from ground to be shared in newsletter/website.
Have basic-intermediate experience and knowledge of graphic design (Canva works, too)
Communications

External Communications: Represent CUPA and Communicate in a manner consistent with CUPA’s Vision and Mission. Assess the incoming email and respond to them on time and forward to concerned departments where appropriate. As a communication officer, you will be the single point of contact for all queries including but not limited to:
Adoption requests
Donation inquiries
Partnership proposals
Partner organisation communications
Cruelty reports
Internal communications: Assist the various departments in internal communication requirements such as

Drafting of letters as required by various departments/trustees
Assisting the Animal Welfare Officer in putting together monthly reports to be shared internally.
Assisting the media team in generating newsletters, annual reports, shelter booklet, etc
CSR Volunteering and Events – Assisting the Project Manager in CSR Compliance, you will, from time to time, be required to support, coordinate and assist in the following CSR activities, as and when required:

Supporting the Project Manager with the coordination of CSR volunteering events.
Representing CUPA in various CSR events such as seminars, workshops, etc.
Participating in capacity building events organised by CSR partners.
Conduct online/offline sessions on various topics related to animal welfare to spread awareness and to inform about CUPA and its work
Coordinating with Project Manager to generate and share stories, high quality images of CSR events and activities for internal as well as external communication purposes.

Work Experience – 3-4 Years
Pay Range: Rs 34,000-Rs 50,000 based on experience
