We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant to join our team at MadHatter Creative! You will be directly working with the founder to maintain the books of the company.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting principles, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to work independently. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for flexible working hours in a growing company.
The role is based in Bengaluru, where you have to work from the office 1-2 days a week.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Bookkeeping
Update and maintain financial books using Zoho Books / Tally.
Maintain ledgers for each individual client.
Track expenses, reimbursements and bills done for the company.
Reconcile past records with transactions to ensure accuracy.
Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports
Making of balance sheets for filing IT returns
B. Invoicing & Follow-Up
Send invoices to clients at the end of the month.
Follow up on payments to ensure they’re done on time.
Track and collect GST payments from customers
C. Tax Filing and Compliance
Calculate and file Goods and Services Tax (GST) on a monthly basis.
Calculate and file company taxes on a quarterly and yearly basis.
Calculate and file TDS and PT for the company on a monthly basis.
File Import Export Code (IEC) for international payments.
Ensure compliance with any other tax and company regulations.
Coordinate with external auditors or consultants as needed
D. Financial Planning & Misc
Handle payroll processing and ensure proper deductions and timely payments.
Plan budgets for the company on a quarterly and yearly basis.
Suggest improvements for financial processes and efficiency.
Support audits by providing required financial documentation and reports.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR

Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Commerce graduate preferred.
Knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial compliance.
Proficiency in Zoho Books, Google Sheets, Zoho Payroll and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to maintain high accuracy and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
Experience
Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience.
Experience in handling accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
Experience working in a tech-driven company or with software solutions is a plus.
Bangalore Candidates with stability and a long-term career focus are preferred.
