Job Overview:
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing sales teams to achieve sales targets and objectives within their designated region. This role requires strategic planning, team leadership, and effective execution to drive business growth and profitability.
Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development:
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and expand customer base within the region.
Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
Team Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise a high-performing sales team.
Set individual and team sales targets and ensure they are met.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
Negotiate and close deals with large customers and key accounts.
Resolve escalated customer issues in a timely manner.
Sales Operations:
Monitor sales metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).
Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure effective sales and customer support.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage regional sales budgets.
Control expenses and optimize resources to maximize profitability.
Market Intelligence:
Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions.
Provide market feedback to the company leadership regarding competitive offerings and customer needs.
Training and Development:
Conduct regular training sessions for sales team members.
Coach and mentor team members to enhance their skills and productivity.
Compliance and Ethics:
Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical standards.
Uphold a high level of integrity and professionalism in all sales activities.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Regional Sales Manager or similar senior sales role in the relevant industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a sales team.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to travel within the region as required.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, or relevant field; Master’s degree is a plus.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹40,000.00 – ₹70,000.00 per month
