A Science 2 teacher, in a school setting, is responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing science lessons, fostering a love for scientific inquiry, and ensuring students develop a strong foundation in scientific concepts and skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development and Delivery:
Plan and deliver engaging science lessons aligned with curriculum standards and learning objectives.
Create and adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
Utilize various teaching methods and resources, including hands-on experiments and technology, to facilitate learning.
Classroom Management and Environment:
Maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating learning environment that promotes student engagement and collaboration.
Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
Assessment and Feedback:
Assess student learning through various methods, including formative and summative assessments.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to promote growth and improvement.
Laboratory Management:
Prepare and supervise laboratory activities, ensuring student safety and effective learning experiences.
Instruct students on the proper use of equipment and materials.
Communication and Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance teaching and learning.
Professional Development:
Stay current with advancements in science education and teaching methodologies.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Other Duties:
Maintain accurate student records and reports.
Participate in school activities and events.
Support students’ academic and personal development.
BIOLOGY TEACHER
Biology Teacher Responsibilities:
Preparing and delivering engaging biology lessons to students from different backgrounds, who all have different interests and abilities.
Monitoring student performance, and adjusting teaching strategies and techniques for improved content delivery.
Establishing classroom, laboratory, and field trip rules and ensuring all students understand and accept them.
Setting up exams, assessments, and experiments in accordance with curriculum requirements and standards of the state and district.
Communicating any student issues to parents, counselors, and other relevant staff members.
Attending school events, club meetings, and staff meetings as required.
Representing the school at conferences, workshops, and other networking events.
Coming up with suggestions to improve the Biology Department and general school operations.
Building rapport with students so that they feel comfortable and safe discussing sensitive topics in class.
Encouraging students to participate in science fairs, competitions, and expos, and preparing them for these events.
Biology Teacher Requirements:
Degree in biology or science.
Master’s degree preferable.
Degree in secondary education with a focus in biology also acceptable.
A completed teaching apprenticeship recommended.
Relevant teaching license or certification.
Previous teaching experience would be advantageous.
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 – ₹30,000.00 per month
