Roles
Drive Customer Project order approvals for System Layout, performance acceptance etc.
Drive Engineering releases for project specific Inhouse equipment & Bought Outs.
Responsibilities
1. Participate in Project kick-off.
2. Planning and task distribution of customer project design release within Design Execution team.
3. Creating Level mark-up Concept Designing of new equipment design which can be used by Design execution team during detailing,
4. Create and release of RFQ Technical URS for third-party equipments brought outs.
5. Create and release Critical release list of Std repeat component and long lead bought out items in SAP as 1st release list to procurement.
6. Perform Engineering calculation for component design and bought out selection like Gearmotors, Shock absorber etc and release for procurement.
7. Create racking layout drawing for Racking RFQ and participate in its finalization and related communication.
8. Participate in Customer discussion meeting for project execution.
9. Manage and coordinate with Sales, Projects, Purchase, and factory units for smooth project execution.
10. Ensure compliance of Engineering standards in the Design execution.
11. Visit customer sites for Sales Support, retrofit innovation and project execution.
12. Participate in Technical discussion with customers, supporting sales, marketing, design, process, and proposal teams.
13. Analyze customer requirements and spearhead the product customization or enhancement to existing ones.
14. Drive and execute release of SAP BoM/Indents as per the schedules set by project manager.
15. Execute Change mgt though DCR process guideline for the incoming changes in the design execution and release.
16. Be responsible for all preparation and issue of all project related documentation – Quality Installation Operation and Service.
17. Participate in first piece manufacturing and support to assembly team whenever needed.
18. Continuous improvements in the design based on feedback received from cross functional team members.
19. Supporting pre-sales for designing, offering non-standard, complex, and optimum solution.
20. Provide Quick solutions to Issues faced in manufacturing, installation & commissioning.
21. Responsible for all preparation and issue of all documentation – Quality Installation Service
22. Create and Drive Standardization strategy for repeated type design Assy and components to save Engineering execution time.
23. Track and monitor and control Design COPQ regularly.
24. Monitor and review design execution team performance.
25. Act as a Coach, mentor, and guide to Design execution team as an when needed.
26. Conduct periodic knowledge sharing session within team.

Essential
Strong Management Skills with ability to anticipate problems and develop contigency plans
Has experience of leading small or mid size Engg Design team and projects in the past
Experience in Design Engineering ASRS MHEEOT cranes/ Lift
12 Years of experience in Machine design
Preferred
Experience of 3-4 years as a Design Team Lead in existing role
Experience in MHE Mechanical ASRS/Logistics Automation Equipment Material handling equipment Design.
Min 10 Years of experience in Machine design
