Lab Assistant.

(a) Key Responsibilities.

· Maintain cleanliness, organization, and functionality of all lab spaces and equipment.

· Regularly inspect, calibrate, and repair laboratory instruments and tools.

· Prepare and set up apparatus, chemicals, and materials required for practical sessions.

· Assist teachers and students during experiments to ensure proper usage of equipment.

· Maintain an updated inventory of lab equipment, chemicals, and supplies.

· Ensure adherence to safety protocols and standards in the laboratory.

· Educate students about lab safety measures and proper handling of chemicals and equipment.

· Keep detailed records of experiments, equipment usage, and maintenance schedules.

· Assist students in handling lab equipment and understanding experimental procedures.

· Collaborate with teachers to design and enhance lab-based learning experiences.

(b)Qualifications & Skills.

· Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Science or a related field.

· Certification or training in laboratory management (preferred).

· Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Lab Assistant, preferably in a CBSE school or educational institution.

· Strong understanding of laboratory equipment and scientific procedures.

· Knowledge of safety protocols and chemical handling practices.
