Job opening for Music Teacher

Job Location: Bandra, Mumbai and Igatpuri (Nasik)

Brief about Aseema: Aseema Charitable Trust is a Mumbai based non-governmental organization with a mission to equip children from marginalized communities with high quality, value-based education enabling development of their limitless potential. It works in partnership with the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai and is currently running three MCGM schools – The Pali Chimbai Municipal School in Bandra (West) The Pereirawadi Municipal School in Bandra (West) and The Kherwadi Municipal School in Bandra (East).

Job Responsibilities:

To be aware of and work in accordance with Aseema’s teaching approach.
To teach music to the children as guided by the Assistant Heads
To prepare a collection of the songs done in the classroom in booklet form
To maintain and purposefully use all musical instruments and related equipment such as players, CDs and other such items.
To prepare innovative lesson plans and teaching aids
To teach in an experiential manner and make learning relevant and meaningful for the children
Required Skills and Qualification:

Good communication skills
Bachelor’s degree / certificate course in Music is required.
Candidates with Music teaching experience at schools is preferred.
Candidates residing in Mumbai only apply.
