Nurse.

(a)Key Responsibilities.

· Be the first point of contact during medical emergencies.

· Provide immediate first aid and medical care to students and staff in case of illness, injury, or emergencies.

· Monitor and document students’ health conditions and any incidents in the school.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records for all students.

· Identify health issues and recommend necessary action or referral to specialists.

· Provide health education to students on topics such as hygiene, nutrition, and general well-being.

· Work closely with teachers to identify students with medical concerns and provide the necessary support.

· Ensure that the school complies with all health and safety regulations, including keeping track of required vaccinations, health protocols, and reporting illnesses.

· Maintain medical supplies and equipment, ensuring they are fully stocked and properly stored.

· Ensure a clean and sanitary environment in the school infirmary.

(b)Qualifications & Skills.

· A Diploma or Degree in Nursing (GNM or B.Sc. Nursing) from a recognized institution.

· Certification in First Aid and CPR (preferred).

· Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a nurse, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.

· Strong knowledge of healthcare practices, first aid, and emergency care.

· Excellent communication skills and ability to work with children and staff.

· Compassionate, patient, and empathetic towards students’ health and well-being.

(c) Additional Requirements:

· A warm and approachable personality with strong interpersonal skills.

· Commitment to the school’s mission and vision of holistic education.

· Ability to work collaboratively with other staff and contribute to the overall growth of the school.
