1. Job Summary
The automobile technician will inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain vehicles to ensure reliable performance, roadworthiness and safety. The role requires hands-on knowledge of vehicle systems, preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair procedures while maintaining quality standards and accurate service documentation.

2. Key Responsibilities
• Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical and performance-related faults.

• Diagnose vehicle problems using appropriate diagnostic tools, testing equipment and technical procedures.

• Perform scheduled servicing and preventive maintenance as per service requirements.

• Repair, adjust or replace faulty vehicle components, parts and assemblies.

• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and identify the root cause of faults.

• Conduct post-repair inspections and functional checks to ensure repair quality.

• Follow workshop safety procedures and maintain a clean and organised work area.

• Use tools, equipment and diagnostic systems correctly and responsibly.

• Maintain accurate records of servicing, repairs, inspections and replaced parts.

• Report major faults, additional repair requirements and parts requirements to the supervisor.

• Submit daily service and repair activity reports.

3. Qualification
• Higher Secondary (12th Pass), Graduate or ITI in an automobile/mechanical-related trade.

• Graduate qualification preferred.

• Automobile/Mechanical ITI certification will be an added advantage.

4. Experience
1–2 years of relevant hands-on experience in automobile servicing, repair, workshop operations or a related role.

6. Required Skills
• Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems.

• Vehicle inspection and diagnostic skills.

• Ability to operate basic vehicle diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
